I feel like I’m late to the party…it’s 2019 and I’m FINALLY creating a blog. What has taken so long?!?
Well, for starters, I LOVE to talk…but putting my words onto the page is scary. What if my writing sounds boring? What if I’m misunderstood? What if I cause confusion for my readers? SO. MANY. WHAT-IF’S!!!
But after much encouragement from my team at PDX Reading Specialist, I’m taking a risk and having a growth mindset. To all of the educators and parents who work tirelessly to support the academic and social emotional needs of individuals with dyslexia and other learning disabilities, my deepest gratitude. I hope the knowledge, tools and resources I share will make a difference in the lives of your students and inspire them to become CONFIDENT and CAPABLE learners.
