The Moon Dogs Series (set 1) is an 8 book set, designed to appeal to older, struggling readers at the early stages of reading. With both male and female characters, the Moon Dog series will appeal to boys and girls alike. Set 1 gradually introduces and reinforces the initial sounds of the alphabet in CVC words. All words in the books are at CVC level with one line of text per page. Skills are developed through step-by-step progression, allowing practice at each level.

This 100 page, photocopiable workbook has 8 chapters of activities designed for older students, ages 8-14, who are beginner readers. This workbook corresponds directly to the 8 books in the Moon Dogs Set 1 reading series, and offers practice reading at CVC level, while introducing initial sounds gradually. Activities include word building, reading, spelling and comprehension, and are based on the characters and adventures in the Moon Dogs series.
