The purpose of an assessment is to understand a child’s strengths and weaknesses so we can create an action plan that includes appropriate instruction and effective accommodations. 

A dyslexia assessment begins with a comprehensive records review and parent/caregiver consultation. The assessment itself takes approximately 2-3 hours to complete. We pride ourselves on creating a relaxed, no-pressure environment for your child.

Approximately one week after the assessment, a feedback meeting is scheduled to discuss the results and create an action plan.

Understanding your child’s brain, and helping your child understand their own strengths and weaknesses is a powerful and necessary part of overcoming dyslexia.
